NAG's SPRBINE made me a little curious - so I got to screwing around with my desert middy, and figured heck this could be a pretty good light precision rig... Adding a M3LR on ARMS #35, and a Harris Bipod with the ARMS throw lever (forgot the designation - and dont really care). All I had to do was one throw lever to drop the ACOG and then two put the M3 on. I put Mike Miller's Quick Cuff sling www.tacticalintervention.com on the harris and it is great (I have another cuff sewn into my ghillie) Since we got 20+ cm of some today and more expected (than 9+" to y'all BTW SINCE I AM NOT A SEAL I FIGURED ITS NOT A RECON RIFLE... ![]() Edited to add a shameless plug for Mike Miller - he is a super great guy and LE Sniper. He helped me out ironing the kinks out of my Accuracy International AICS and other than being a Californian... |

Duffy - two reasons: It is the best eye releif for me using may favourite stock open postion from my ACOG... 2nd ly if I push it back I have to open the M93 all the way up and push away from the CH - not a way I liek to shoot. With the ARMS #35 I have basically two spots on the rifle I can mount the scope that will work. (I cant wait for the URX...) NAG is just easier than typing out Newarguy all the time [0:)] |

Kev you must have eyes like a hawk [:d] Don't forget Kisara, bsbg, hawkeye, and those I can't remember presently [:)] I'm out of money this year (already! [>(] I'm putting everything I have into my properties acquired last year) so I'll just take a back seat for a while, until some of the projects (Shrike, HK21) initiated last year and 2003 come into being this year. |

Hahahaha, you wrote that after you saw NAG's SPRbine... and I said to myself, man I must've missed that post, I've got to go search for it. I didnt know that was me! Looks awesome. And I especially like the wearing look of the cammo. I'd like to see mine wearing in like that a little. Need to use it more. Im about to pull off a little of this and a little of that so that it might put me over the edge with the ARFcom "gear wars". Funny thing is, most everything I needed to do it was sitting right here. With a little switching around and though I pracitically had two new rifles! Up next is a MRE carbine and... a RECON RIFLE! Hahahaha! Had to do it. NExt time some one says thats not an SPRbine, thats a Recon Rifle, I can say, no, thats not a Recon Rifle... this is! Kev, let us know how they do out at 800 and 900. I'll probably be shooting more at 600 this weekend. I'll try the 77gr NATO out. |

Troy, I wish KAC... Nope a Armalite 1:9 - they dumped a slew of their gov't profiled pre ban middies up here as they were not sellign well down south. It is the same gun I had posted several months ago... Our unit got stood down on Friday due to a rather fierce winter storm (the CO decided the rest of the Brigade had been stood down the entire day we may as well go home at 1300) So I got honme and decided to do somethign constructive - I am building a Abu Dhabia plain jane M4 (yeah I know - I doubt it will survie first contact with my spare parts box...) I found some stuff lying around (I had had three spare parts boxes it turns out) - and I noticed a M3LR kicking around - it was goign on my Mk11 project - but I found a really nice Nightforce at a good price so... I remembered Neil's SPRbine and I decided to try this at our next LR gig. USMC's pic taking and gun display extraveganza made me think maybe I should post this guy (even though it is not new). I also realised I have never shot this guy past 300m - and that was with the BIS... So this week or next I will get around to put some lead out far with it - even if I have to get all dolled up in my Planet Hoth StormTrooper Assault wear. |

Quoted: Quoted: Quoted: The Empire troops who coducted the assault on the Rebels on ice planet Hoth were Imperial SNOWTROOPERS, KevinB. Geek alert! Geek alert! He is right though you know. I wouldn't know. I'm not a "Star Wars" geek. Of course I am a "Star Trek" geek. And a "Galactica" geek. And a "Doctor Who" geek. And a "B5" geek. Wait, pretend you didn't hear that last one. First rule of "B5", never talk about "B5". Second rule of "B5", never talk about "B5". I know he's probably right, just giving a fellow geek a hard time. Hey, look at my avatar amd my profile pic. I have no room to talk. |

Next time. |

Chris, we call the hat the "Stormtrooper Helmet" it is warm to a fault, and usually never worn - we have balaclava's too - the weather was not really that bad I was just being a clown. Outside Det1 I would guess this could be the second largest concentration of magpul stuff. - Just wait till the DPMS Panther and AR10's start sporting the M93A's... I gotta point out these are guys personal kit - not a single gov't owned toy in that bottom photo. Airsoft's great - right[:D] |

Jeff, I used a DPMS wrench and a vice block - it dealt with the factory colt staked on old carbine buffer tube on the LE6921 and LE6920. I still have not gotten a 93A yet - I will see Rich at SHOT so no worries - a bunch of my buddies have them - an improvement - I will keep the 93's but regulate them second string guns and get the A's for my using guns. |
