I got an 18 inch SPR barrel for CMMG a couple of years back and love it.  It's 1:8 twist and loves 75gr ammo.  I shoot 1/2"(100yds) groups with Privi 75 gr match.

Three words for you––-Compass Lake Engineering. You can get a stainless or chrome moly 18" SPR barrel turned from a  Douglas Premium Air- gauged blank for $280 for the moly barrel or $325 for the stainless. The chrome moly barrels come finished black parkerized so you don't have that almost white/grey look of bead blasting. And you can get a HS'd matched bolt for $56 extra, plus $5.00 for M4 feed ramps. Shipping is about $18 + or -

And right now they are saying they can have your barrel turned and ready to ship about two weeks after you order. These are the real deals not a copy, Douglas said they send their blanks here to be turned for the military SPRs. I ordered mine week before last (the 7th), expecting it to arrive on the 27th to the 29th.

When I was trying to decide, about six or seven people kept telling me "Call CLE!!! Tell Frank what you want and he'll fix you right up" And he did. Very nice people to order from, they where happy to answer all of my dumb "noob" questions and everything And I figure if these barrels are used on the real issued MK12 SPRs they must be pretty good. All of the reviews and comments I found for them said CLE douglas SPRs are awsome, and even more so with the great price. But I've also heard great things about the WOA SPR barrels too.

White Oak makes a great barrel and their SPR is top notch. Go for it or the Compass Lake barrels are top notch as well.

WOA won't let you down. I used one for my SPR and couldn't be happier. I would use another WOA in a build in a heart beat!!

I did a build with the Rainier 18.5 Ultramatch last spring and it's an excellent barrel. It is a 1:8 with a Wylde chamber. Definately capable of shooting sub-MOA groups.

Yes, rifle length gas system with a Rainier lo profile block.   It's a Mega Monolithic upper... length is equivalent to a 12" rail.

I just this minute finished putting a WOA SPR 18" barrel on my SPR build. I got the one with a rifle length gas system, bead blasted finish. Most of it hides under some Troy MRF RX 13.8" rails. It's capped with a Smith Vortex flash suppressor.

I just hope it shoots as good as it looks!
