| Some of the minute detailed specs are somewhat secretive. However, MSTN - SPR masters that they are, explain the configurations well in their [url=http://www.ar15.com/forums/topic.html?b=2&f=134&t=141410]SPR Story[/url] on their board. Best to ask them for the serious questions, they know what they are talking about, and can build it for you closer to the real deal than pretty much anyone else. The SPR basically uses an 18" barrel with full length gas system. Handguards are either the PRI carbon fiber or KAC FF RAS. The 1:8 twist is a compromise that will do well with 55gr as well as some of the heavier bullets, and is fast enough for 62gr AFAIK, might even be closer to ideal. |

SPR'S ARE 1X7". I HAVE ANOTHER ALTERNATIVE: AN EXACT CLONE OF THE NAVY SPECIAL WARFARE RECCE CARBINE, WITH 16" 1X8" TWIST BARREL. THESE BARRELS WILL BE FROM THE SAME LOT AS THE NAVY'S GUNS.
