If I was going to change my 16in barrel on my D.S. M4, where would be a good place to start looking.  It's primary use is at the range.  I wouldn't want it any longer than 16in.  Any links would really be nice and pictures also would help.  Thanks.

I just went from a 14.7 CMMG m4 barrel to a WOA 18" SS. I have a SBR so I wanted a Longer Range firearm. I picked up the WOA from Adco. Youll gain some weight with the SS as most are Bull barrels more or less. The 18" is a good length, but it uses rifle length handguards and gas tube, etc. So, I dont know if your wanting to stick with 16" just to be able to use your existing hardware or not. But I luv the 18" , its not too long and easy to manage and is very accurate.

I found a couple break-in proceedures on the net. And picked one that best suited me

1 shot , clean (repeat 5 times)

5 shots, clean (repeated 6 times) <––suppose to do this til you hit 50rds, but I felt 30rds was fine.

Adco has WOA 18" SS mid barrels in stock. I got one and had it
bead-blasted. Put a 13 Larue FF on it. Shoots good.

What does Bead Blasting do to the SS? Ive heard of this being done. Im guessing nothing else needs to be done to it to preserve it, etc. Got pics?

bead blasting makes the barrel less shiny. other than that i don't know.

I would take a look at rainierarms.com for a good barrel. they have noveske, sabre defense, woa, and their own barrels. all stainless.

I have a 16" LaRue stealth upper with a Lothar Walther barrel and I also bought a 20" Lothar Walther barrel from Superior Barrels with their hard blue finishing. Both barrels are extremly accurate. I get sub MOA out of both.

I get well below MOA with my 18" SS Sabre Defense barrel. and that's 10 shot groups

Bead blasting also serves to prepare the SS surface for coating, such as KG Gunkote. I had a WOA ss 18" mid gas coated in KG FDE done by ADCO and it came out looking great as well as shooting great. Really like the additional protection that the newer coatings provide.
