Hi,

What you guys think about STAG ARMS AR in general?

Thank you

I did a bit of research and decided to go with the Stag Model 2. Bought it from Pete at Legal Transfers on Monday and received it today (may have arrived at the FFL yesterday). The consensus seems to be that Stag is about as good as it gets in the $800 - $1000 price range. From what I gather, they used to make most of the parts for S&W M&P15 until a few years ago, and they're about the same as RRA. I think it's a good base to build off of. A number of people will probably say to save a few hundred dollars more and get a Colt or LMT. I seriously considered the LE6920, but decided that I could have a Stag Model 2 (with flip-up rear sight), EOTech 512, and sling for the same price as the LE6920 (with carry handle and no flip-up rear sight) alone.

I have an early M&P15 which was made by Stag and it has been great thus far... guessing 1500+ rounds. No problems with anything, and it love P-Mags

I dont like stag arms, I hate it because I fed almost 400rds through it on when I first got it out of the box and it ran smoothly fine without any malfunction. I've burned more money on ammo shooting it and that's why I hated it ;)

Stag is probably the best bang for your AR buck out there.  $800 gets you a quality AR with a lot of mil-spec parts and a lifetime warranty.

Their product line is pretty well rounded, but they don't offer all the custom bells and whistles you can get from some other (pricier) makers.  If you have your heart set on a 1:7 14.5" barrel and titanium-nitride-gold-iridium plated bolt carrier from the factory, you should look elsewhere.

I have seen Stags work hard in two different carbine classes and not one failed.  They are good rifles..

For a "lower end" AR (like anything besides Colt, LMT, Noveske, BCM according to some people), I will buy Stag or Rock River.
