M4 LE (Carbine Gas System) M4 LE
or ST-Mid Length LE (Mid Length Gas System) Mid-Length Besides the gas systems, all other specs are the same. I am on the fence on which one to buy. I love the looks of the M4, but word is that the mid-length has better reliability. If you had to chose between these two, which one would it be and why? Thanks for all input! |
Ordered a middy a few weeks ago. Should *HOPEFULLY* ship this week. Pretty sure I'll be more happy with it rather than a carbine. But no worries maaaaaaaan....order one, if you don't like it just add to the arsenal with their wonderful prices, and buy an upper!! Haha

I own both, carbines and middys. I love both but lean towards the middy for most of my shooting. They both do exactly the same thing, but the middys are just a little more comfortable for a lot of shooting and the sight radius is noticably an improvement over the shorter carbine.
I do not find weight an issue, there are more benefits than detractions. A carbine is good, but middys are gooder |

I'm having the same dilemma. I'm leaning towards the middy version right now, but it seems like it changes on a daily basis. I mainly just shoot irons anyhow. If you plan to use only irons, then hands down go mid-length, it provides a larger sight radius. |
