Does anyone have any experience with the Shadow Valley Weapons SVCOMP5.56 compensator?  I am thinking about getting one.  This http://www.shadowvalleyweapons.com/#!svcomp/ce6i is the one I am thinking about.

I've never used one, but my opinion on it is meh.  There are more than enough quality muzzle devices on the market.  This one just seems real "gimmicky."

I had to add it to the cart to see what the price was....and that alone makes me not like it!!!

There are plenty of comps out there that will do the job for less money.  I have a Miculek comp I paid $30 for and I think it to be perfectly adequate.

Yea, I do not like sites like that either.  A LGS has one for $75.

I have one, it works well.  I'm actually surprised at how well it works as I didn't think it would be that effective at first glance.

Why?  It is pretty clear the intended role of this piece is not the same as the Titan.

Completely off topic, Stick, but is that a Noveske MLOK rail?  The mounting setup looks very similar to an NSR.

True, I guess it depends on the role the OP desires for his rifle. Not much information has been provided,

Yup, scrolled up and down the page a few times until I realized I wasn't blind and there was no price.

This is arfcom, I'm stunned anything stays on topic.

No, not a Noveske, it is from Erathr3.  The bolt up pattern looks similar, but it isn't the same.

Good point,if the OP is looking for max comp action, there are others that might serve his needs better.  If he is looking for a tactical comp, this one works exceedingly well.

Good question/point.  A tactical comp is more what I want.  However, until I saw the SVCOMP I was leaning to the Seekins ATC.  I do not think I would ever use the wire cutting feature.

Does the SVCOMP have as much of a flash to the sides as a other compensators?

Does the SVCOMP hurt accuracy at all?

I don't know that most people would cut wire or punch windows, but I know a lot of cops will appreciate the feature.  I know I certainly do.

Regarding muzzle flash, this was the most muzzle flash I saw, and even going back through loads of pics, this was it.  Granted, I don't remember what ammo was being fired, and it was from a 16" barrel, so it isn't like this was on a SBR, but it still isn't bad at all.

I doubt it would do anything with accuracy, but don't have enough time with it and zeroed weapons to really tell.
