How do I know which mount will work best for me? I am looking at LaRue mounts. A board member mentioned a SPR 1.5 LaRue?
UPDATE: Ordered a new LaRue mount. What size butler creek flip ups will fit the new 1-6x? |

I like the rings on a LaRue and the rail mounting method is OK to Good. I don't like the effort it takes to lock/unlock a AMD and it doesn't save enough from the LT price. But any of those will work if you get the right model. Look in SWFA 1-4 thread and the same mount should work with their 1-6 as the eye relief will be similar. There may be a special price with the mount and butler creek caps from SWFA too. There was for a while with the 1-4. I think the best way is mount your Rifle and have someone measure from your shooting glasses 3.5-3.75"s and mark your upper. That gives you .25-.50"s from your eye to the glasses. Then look at the specs of the mounts and see which ones will put the back of the scope in that position. Most mounts will give you a few spaces front to back and still let you run BUIS. |

Done. The Bobro screw pattern/installation sucks. Seemed like a pretty good mount otherwise.
