| Hi all. I'm about to purchase a 20" gov't profile upper receiver assembly. I'll be ordering from PK Firearms. It's a toss up right now between a Bushmaster barrel upper, or a Sabre Defence one. I've had good experience with Bushmaster uppers, but like what Sabre Defence has to offer: parkerized under the FSB, M4 cuts, and "F" marked front sight. Does anyone have any experience with Sabre Defence and what kind of quality I can expect from them? |
Sounds good to me! I'll let you all know once I get it. I tried searching for Sabre Defence and SDI, but my search fu must suck. I found only 3 threads, and none of them addressed people's experience with SDI. |

+1 Also both Talon Arms and PK Firearms are good people. I can especially recommend Talon Arms, as they had most everything I needed for my mid-length build this past spring. I have almost 800 rounds though my Gov't Profile mid-length and have recommended SDI to my friends to want build their own/buy complete uppers. Buy in confidence. |
big +1 for Robert at Talon and PK or... you could just get mine off EE (shamless plug) If this one does not sell - it will be built on another rifle. Love my current SDI barrel that I put on a BM lower/upper. Have a few rounds through it and will not look back. I am sure there are other makers out there that are great - but I found something I am completely satisfied with and do not plan on switching makers for a while. |
