[ARCHIVED THREAD] - Sabre Defense Questions

I am jonesing for a nice M4 type gun and I like the idea of supporting a Nashville based business but I'd like to hear what people here think of Sabre Defense. They seem to be more expensive than a Bushmaster but are they a good company? In your opinion are their products worth the extra money. For what it is worth, I don't currently own any ARs and plan to buy only one (I know, famous last words).

I had a bbl from SDI
16 inch middy, chrome lined, f marked FSB, 1/7 twist, CMV, etc.
Best barrel I have ever owned - put the Bushy I had to shame!!!
Buy SDI and don't look back.

Very nice barrel. True M4 feed ramps. Std. 1/7. Unlike bushie. Worth the extra money!

Seriously though, they are some expensive rifles, but I liked the way the Elite one was set up.

The stock rifles are not so pricey.
Any time you buy something with someone's name on it, the price shoots up.

I remember that thread, I wasn't looking for a signature rifle, just a plan stock rifle. I think I'll probably save up my money and buy from them. Again, I like the idea of supporting local businesses.

Sabre Defence is good to go - they maintain a very, very high quality control on their rifles as they manufacture over 90% of the rifle parts in-house including the upper & lower receivers, barrels, etc...buy with confidence!
