I can't seem to pinpoint it.
My safety is hard to turn compared to my other AR's. I originally thought it was a bad safety/detent and I eventually upgraded to a BAD. While it has improved (new detent, etc), it is not the same as other AR's. Can the trigger cause friction? It just feels like it has resistance. I can't do the simple flick on and off like I can with my other two ARs with stock safety selectors. Input? Thanks! |

Same safety selector on both weapons?
I had a PSA lpk on one rifle that I really like the safety. Next rifle had a generic kit from a vendor here and I can't stand the safety. Swapped out the detent thinking maybe that was it the. To a Colt selector which was an improvement but not what I wanted. I'm going to try anotherPSA selector to see if that does the trick |

is the detent installed backwards? Nope. I double checked. Took the grip off and all. Quoted:

Changing from a stock LPK safety that was on this AR before to a BAD only yielded slight improvement. |

Replace what? Stock = crappy BAD = better What am I to replace? Trigger? Selector, selector detent, selector detent spring, trigger and possibly pistol grip if it so please you. Selector feel is the spring, detent and selector interacting. Influenced by the depth of the selector spring channel in the pistol grip. |

Trim your detent spring a hair at a time till it's where you want it. Not all grips are the same which can cause that super tight click....... I had to do this once myself. Very simple fix. It also help to place a little lubricant in the grooves of the safety and work it back and forth. It will smooth out. |
