So I get my Samson right flip mount and Aimpoint 3x magnifier in the mail today (from Teknic, by the way, a great guy that gave me a great price).

The screws are too long, I tighten it down as far as I can without starting to strip them, and the 3x still rattles.

I'm considering grinding them down with my dremel, but the likelyhood of screwing them up or taking my thumb off is high.

Or, if anyone knows the thread and screw size, I'll go find replacements.

Thoughts? Anybody else have this problem?

I consider it a Samson issue, not a vendor's issue.

Ok, I ground them down with my dremel and it works fine. But still...

If anybody has alternate solutions, I'd still like to hear them.

Grinding the screws down is the right solution.  They should have been sent that way.  The screws need to be 9mm long.  This is not a standard length.  Some mounts made it out without the screws being shortened.  If you relieved one of these, and need screws that are ground down.  Please contact us

Wow, I have to say I'm impressed. I got an email to the effect of the above reply from Samson at 0500 hours on a Sunday. Nice! Thanks for the good customer service.
