I've got an Armalite AR-10 and a SWFA SS10.  I need some advice on scope mounts that won't break the bank.

TIA,
Marty

You have a nice long upper, just get some tall rings for now. I do like my American Defense Recon though.

I guess I should say I'm somewhat of a newbie when it comes to scoping an AR.

LaRue LT-158

Has 10 MOA built in and it's a little lower than standard AR15 mounts which makes it a god choice for AR10's

At the present time it's out of my price range.  I can afford somewhere around a Cnote.

Sounds like you need duct tape!!

Try looking into the Burris PEPR.

Get a PEPR and save for the Lt-158 and Lt-137 and a Jpoint.

I'll look into the PEPR and the Primary Arms Mounts but I think I'll pass on the Larues.  I'm using the scope primarily for load development.  I'm using the AR-10 in High Power Matches so the scope won't be on there very much.

Here is a picture of ours. Available in standard and extended. $59.99 Railed top caps are a $4 option. We also stock the PEPR.

Marshall, which one of your mounts do you recommend for me?

+1 for the PA mount. It doesn't have the unnecessary railed ring tops, PA is an industry sponsor, and Marshall stands behind his stuff 100%. I'll be ordering one for a CMR along with a microdot later on this week.

The SS 10x is a great choice. 4" of eye relief. You don't usually shoot NTCH with a long range rig but with 4" of eye relief it wouldn't hurt to get the extended.
