| I have a Leupold VX-111 2.5-8x by 36mm (1" tube) that I want to mount onto an FNAR .308. Since I do not have BUIS on the gun, and do plan plan on putting them on (I dont think its possible since it does not have a forward rail), I do not see having a quick detach mount as being important. I was looking at the LArue LT-104 SPR mount, and have no doubt that it is great, but I can't justify spending $200 on a mount that is most likely that pricey due to its QD capabilities that arent critical for this configuration. That being said, I do not mind putting up the money for a quality product. Anybody have any advice on a solid scope mount with 1" rings, but with a more permanent system, and preferably a more reasonable price tag? This gun will be primarily used for range shooting as well as whitetail hunting. Thanks |

In the future you will get more FN info in the FN forum section.
LINK TO FN SECTION IN THE ARMORY You just need a set of good 1" rings. I don't stock any 1" rings but check out SWFA another site sponsor. They stock the Burris Xtreem in 1". With that scope low height should be fine but it will depend on which insert you are running on the top of the stock. I put a Trijicon 3-9X Accupoint on my FNAR and it is a great lightweight .308. |
