How do you determine what size(height)rings you need? Thanks |

First off, you'll need to know the diameter of your scope's tube (usually either 30mm or 1 inch) to determine diameter of your rings, and the diameter of the scope's objective "bell" - the far end of the scope - to determine minimum ring height. A 30mm bell would not need as tall a set of rings as a 56mm bell. Beyond that, you'll have to factor in the weapon to which you're mounting the scope, whether it has mount points for Weaver rings, or a Picatinny rail...it gets pretty complicated! |
