I am new to the AR community so I have a couple ?'s.  I have a 6x24x40 mil dot scope mounted and it is a little low to see through it comfortably.  I really have to press my cheek down to the stock to see though it.  I know there are some mounts that will mount to my flattop and allow me to see through so I can still use open sights.  Does anyone have any recomendations?  I really am looking for one that I can remove but will not move or come loose during alot of shooting.  I use it for varmints and 500 rounds a day is not uncommon.  thanks

For those out there that are having a hard time finding scope mounts that are high enough to allow proper cheek weld at a reasonable cost. Millet makes extra high mounts specifically for the Flat Top AR15. They sit up 1.025" off the receiver and is perfect cheek and eye alignment. They are about $30 through a dealer. They are the extra high Angle Loc in Matte color. The website is

Hopefully this will save everyone some money and time.
