I just finished my first build.  A RRA 20" varmit free float.  Wilson 1:8" barrel upper.  on a Superior arms lower. So now i'm looking for a scope to slap on here.  My price range is up to $500.  I've been looking at Super Sniper, Burris and Lepold but can't decided.  Give me some recommendations guys!

I built a similar DPMS rifle. I put a 10x Super Sniper with Warne rings and all the goodies. A great scope, well within the $500. My rifle will shoot sub MOA. Scope is clear and I can see the holes at 100 yards no problem.

1.  www.samplelist  has a 10x42M Super Sniper ( with side paralax adjustment)  for 359.00 +  larue SPR for 195.00 = 550.00 (570.00 with shipping)

Oops 50.00 over.

2.  Okay the 3200 on the EE right now for $200.00 +  larue SPR for 195.00 = 395.00 (400.00 with shipping)

3.  How about 10 X40 MilDot Bushnell from EGay for 186.00 +  larue SPR for 195.00 = 381.00 (387.00 with shipping)

Can you can see what I am getting at here.

Personally, I would go with number 1 above and not eat for a week.

You cant go wrong with the Super Sniper or the Bushnell 3200 10X.

3200's cheaper, but no parallax adjustment (never a problem for me out to 600 yards when it was on my 308).

I traded my SS for an eotech a while back and keep looking to get another, there just aren't any around when I have the $$.

Super Sniper can't be beat for the money if you can live with fixed magnification. Just got my 18X from the group buy great value. My knobs repeat and the mil dot is great.

Super Sniper on my AR:

Tell me about the one piece mount and rings.

I know LaRue is the gold standard, but I am looking for an alternative to the $200 LaRue.

If you're looking at Burris, I'd seriously consider a Weaver Grand Slam.  I have one in 6x20x40, and it's a great scope.  I think the glass is clearer than either of the Burris Fullfield IIs I have.  I have it on a .22-250 that's an absolute tack driver.

They're very reasonably priced at around $335 for that model; the lower mag. ones are a little cheaper.  4x14x40 might work well on that rifle.

I also have a 10x Super Sniper...very nice scope, but the Weaver is better in terms of glass, and at pretty much the same price, it's a more versatile scope since you're not stuck with a fixed power.

I'm actually about to buy another Grand Slam for one of my 20" ARs.
