[ARCHIVED THREAD] - Scope wont mount

Just picked up a nice used scope (it's Centerpoint CPA416AORGand it looks like it should mount to the top of my AR15 upper receiver - but it doesnt slide on nor is do the clamps separate enough to clip on from the side.....you have to remove the mounts from the scope to mount them the first time?

Open the clamps some more. Unless they are rings for a .22LR (which won't fit on a Picatinny rail)

Thanks it worked - I didnt want to force anything but they did separate a little more and fit.
