I've been looking at the Weaver V3 as an addition to one of my AR's. My only concern is that I have a standard FSB on this carbine (16"), and I wonder if this will present a problem on the 1x setting. I tried popping up a folding front sight on another carbine that has a 2-7x scope on it. You can tell a difference in amount of light being transmitted thru the scope, but you don't see the front sight.

Any help? I'm thinking on 1x, I'll see the FSB.

Thanks!

There's no question that at 1X, the front sight will be completely visible.  At magnifications above 3X, the front sight disappears completely.  Most scope mounts for ARs place the scope centerline at 1.40" above the rail which is the same sight as the iron sights, which means that the front sight will be dead in the middle of the scope field of view––but invisible above 3X

That's what I figured.

Thanks!
