So, This question may seem dumb, But I have no idea what the answer is....

If I hae a lower that is marked S/SA/FA, but do not have a DIAS (and it's not a MG lower), can I still have a safty that allows me to shoot SA on either of the two "fire" settings?  Assuming that I can do it, would you use the regular safty, or would you need a select fire group?
Thanks for you answers on this - I dont have any FA stuff, andd all my other lowers have only 2 positions...but I just bought a stripped lower with those markings on it.

I know .....it dosent really matter, so my flame siut is on...just in case.....

I don't see why this would cause any problems.

The easiest way to do it would be to get a select fire selector, then grind away the lug that engages the disconnector in the third position.

Yes you can do it, but it's not hte best idea.  Think about what's going to happen if some cop who ever knows just enough about ARs to be dangerous gets a look at it.  Next thing you know your rifle's in police evidence waiting to be looked at by somebody who knows what their doing and you're paying money to an attorney to get your rifle back.

Many people have ARs with markings in the third position, look at my avatar for a sample, but pretty much everybody is using a normal 2 position selector.

Both prvious posts are correct.  Simply get the grinder out.....But looks like asking for trouble.
