| So I swapped out my stock pistol grip with a Tango Down BG-17 grip and now I can't operate the selector switch. Once I tightened down the screw the selector switch won't move between safe and fire. If I back it off some it will work but then my grip is loose. I find this odd as I had no issues with the stock grip prior to the swap, and the BG-17 worked fine without any selector switch issues on my issued M4 while deployed. Has anyone ever had a similar issue? Any ideas on how to fix this? |

I've tried everything and nothing seems to work. I just put the stock grip back on until I can pick up another grip. Just wish I knew why it worked on my issued M4 and not this one... Here's what I think is going on.... The grip screw you're using with the new grip has too much projection. You can visually confirm this with the two grips and the screw....observe/measure the projection of the screw with the head bottomed out in each of the grips. With too much grip screw projection, you can push the trigger tail into the selector switch, putting the selector into a bind. Solution: Shorter grip screw. |
| I just had an issue with a grip (and I can say it was the grip because the A2 in the parts kit worked fine, and now that it's on I think it's staying on...) the spring was binding so bad it deformed the outside of the grip. (Let's just stay the company that made my grips made the OP's grips too.) Is there a longer/shorter spring floating around that's getting used in some LPKs and not in others? |

Are you sure that your grip screw isn’t too long? |
| The spring used for the safety selector spring is identical the bcg's bolt ejector spring. I just replaced my action spring (buffer), extractor spring, and ejector spring with some from Sprinco USA's company Tactical Springs, LLC. On the ejector spring packag it stated this is the same spring used for the safety selector spring. |

Put a washer or two under it". |
