I'm sorry if this has been done over and over but I'm new to the forum. Is there any problem with using a less expensive lower, DPMS, Oly, Ameetec, Del-Ton. After all it's only the trigger for the most part.

Then I could get a Bushy, RRA, LTM upper. How many of you have done this and has it worked well for you?
Thanks for the help.

There are many of us with "parts is parts" rifles, in that the upper brand name does NOT match the lower.

As long as your purchase is for "quality" parts the brand name should not matter as many of the AR15 parts made are NOT stamped by the actual manufactures of that part but by the company name which ordered the part. Many companies use parts made by others.

No problem with your proposal.

About the only issue you'll have will be a color difference between upper and lower. But, you can have that even buying both from the same manuf. I'm more concerned about the barrel and bolt group.

How much did it cost you and what was the wait on the lower?

I got that lower a while ago, if I remember it was in the $120.00 area. it didn't take long to get it through the fll, a week maybe.

I don't how a lower could be any better than an Ameetec but there are some that aren't as good. I've used two that I paid $100 a peice for.
