From time to time I see the term "Low or High shelf" when looking at stripped receivers, could someone please explain the difference.
Is it really a major issue when doing a build? Thanx, Frank |

See above. It usually doesn't matter for most of us.
It is describing the shelf (or floor) inside the rear of the receiver just below the take down pin. You can visually see the difference. On a high shelf, like RRA, that area will be even with the top or slightly above the selector hole. On a low shelf, like a Spikes, the area will intersect the middle of the selector hole. |
