Ordered an AR15 lower parts kit from Sherluk a few days ago and received it yesterday. The trigger and hammer were complete JUNK. I sent an E-mail with pictures and they called back within 12 hours and asked me to send the parts back for replacement. The engagement surfaces were not ground and VERY rough, like rough castings. There were a lot of file marks all over, but the parts were "finished" (parkerized, blued?). Hope the new ones are better.

I've done buisness with Sherluk in the past and only had a problem 1 time - a complete bolt that I bought from them had a bad extractor/ejector and I sent it back and they replaced the entire bolt and did so promptly and the replacement worked flawlessly. Your problem must have been an isolated incident - they're good people and I'd do buisness with them in the future.

three weeks ago I purchased a trigger and hammer with pins, they were first rate, they fit and function fine. no machine marks nor rough.
the owner is a gentleman, contact them he will take care of you.

also you should have waited for the replacement parts to arrive before complaining on the board

should the new parts arrive be as bad or equal then what you sent back. I want you to complain!

good luck

Received the new trigger and hammer today-regular US mail; that must have been the delay. They look the same as the old ones! The engagement surfaces are not ground. I'll stop complaining and keep 'em and get some good parts from Bushmaster! Must be a new manufacturing process to save money. Buyer beware.

I see them at the shows all the time and have purchased from them rather often.  Always been pleased.  I will look at their H-T-S stuff today and report.

They are good folks.  I suggest you call them and POLITELY ask what gives.

They had their regular spot at the PRO show, Roberts Center, Wilmington OH (I71 & US 68).

Looked at several hammers and formed an opinion.  After the parts are formed they are ground then parked.  Some companies grind AFTER they are parked, some before.  If the coating is a problem, it is very thin and easily sanded away.  I wouldn't even be surprised if the raw parts are all made by only one or two companies.

I still consider Sherluck a good supplier and will continue to purchase from them.  The people that are behind their tables have always treated me very well.
