So I took a look at this thread about who has magazine restrictions. I picked up a few pre-bans, and want to list them on the EE. Per the linked thread, is NY the only state that it is "safe" to ship pre-ban 30 rounders to? If others are okay, can someone post a link?
Thanks, -matt |

Matt,
*most* of us here only know what is GTG in our own State, myself included...You are correct on NY State, any mag, any size, made before Sept 94 is fine...rifle/pistol. EXCEPT NYC,...various cities have their own prohibitions in various States. You might want to check out the Hometown Forum tab on whatever State you have questions about when you get an interested party. There isn't a uniform "Ban State" rule that you can apply to all of them. That's one reason people are hesitant to deal with us poor folks
NY States AWB is almost an exact mirror of the old Federal AWB... ETA: below is cut and pasted from a major distributer...these may be their own "rules"... ATTENTION: The following locations have magazine restrictions; please check for your local law and regulations before placing an order. California- No mags over 10rds without a high-cap mag permit. Hawaii- No handgun mags over 10rds. Massachusetts- No mags over 10rds. Maryland- No mags over 20rds. New Jersey- No mags over 15rds. New York- No mags over 10rds made after 1994 (i.e. none marked Law Enforcement only). Chicago-No mags over 10rds. Washington DC- No mags over 10rds. |

HI,
Please pass on to others shooters and DEALERS. Massachusetts allows pre September 13, 1994, HI CAP magazines. They can be shipped only to a person with a Class A permit. Also, I know most dealers don’t want to deal with the confusing Mass. Laws, but there is no law on the books prohibiting shipping ammo to Mass. As long as the person has a Mass. Permit. Vinny |
