Building an AR pistol. Installed ATI pistol buffer tube. Is there any "requirement" that the Shockwave be fully forward before tightening down the screw? I would prefer it out a few inches.

You can adjust it anywhere you want. Not so sure it will fit ideally on the brace you purchased though. The one I have made specifically for the Shockwave has a larger outer diameter. KAK makes a buffer tube specifically for the Shockwave brace.

Nope, put it where you want it.  The KAK buffer tube has demples for placing it at different locations.  That's the best tube to use with the blade.

If you don't have it set to a fully inward position, I will report you to the authorities.

You can mount it anywhere you want I have two of the KAK tubes, they work very well with dimples in 12 spots, but I also have an older PSA tube that works perfect as well, but no dimple, just tighten the set screw down, it will make it's own dimple.

I just put one on a 8.5" 300. Really like it. Dimples on the KAK tube are nice. Od green matches the moe grip which is nice.
