My AR carbine is short stroking on me. Brass ejects but bolt doesn't come back far enough to load next round. Which do I need to change out. Buffer or spring or both?
Or am I looking in the wrong area completely? Thanks King |

Sorry for the delay. I stay busy.
Rifle: Upper/lower, Spike's tactical Barrel is 16" and front of gas block to end of gas tube is 9". it has been moved back under the hand guard as to conceal it. I have not changed out anything else, ie BCG or spring and buffer. Spring and buffer are orignal from Spikes. Buffer has ST-T2 lased on it and the spring is the orignal length. Gas block has a good seal and no leaking around the barrel and the holes are alligned properly. Gas tube at gas block shows some signs of leaking but very little almost not able to tell discoloration on the barrel. Gas rings are not in line with one another. Polished the bolt with diamond compound where it rides in the reciever. This mornings test was, pop but not ejections this time. King |
