the Sig556 has one, so does the SCAR...  is there anyway to convert a M4/16 to this new style??

There are 4 position auto parts kits out there.
All you would need is the safety selector.
Or you could just make a replacement selector drum and lever and screw the two parts together.
It should not require any changes to anything but the actual selector.

I'm not very machine handy, but is there someone out there who is?  and i'm sure i'm not the first person to think of this, so is there any more information on this?

The general consensus seemed to be that no one would make one because it wouldn't match the markings on the lower.

Personally I think the lower should just be marked with a red dot that is exposed with the lever is off safe (as the majority of firearms are marked) and be done with it, but that's not the traditional way lowers are marked even though the traditional way is already confusing to those unfamiliar with the firearm.

makes sense, why make something nobody wants.  heck, if they made an Ambi one, i'd buy it.  oh well, thanks much.
