the cam pin and firing pin retainer everytime it is taken out? I believe I remember reading somewhere that you needed to replace these two items if they were taken out. Thanks in advance.

think you are referring to the carrier key and the allen head screws. which shouldnt be taken apart anyways and when they are taken off its usually to replace them.

the cam pin and firing pin retainer can be removed to your hearts content and do not need replacing. Only time they need to be replaced is when they are defective or broken.

I think you may be reffering to a post in which the true meaning of it was IF you DO remove the cam pin be SURE to replace it , (DON'T FORGET TO REINSTALL IT BACK IN CARRIER ) failure to do so could result in injury or worse when rifle is fired.
