I am wondering what all is available out there for side-mount, two-piece bi-pods.  I only know of two:

The Vltor/Tango Down, which I do not think is readily available anymore

The CAA, which is back ordered, or possibly even discontinued (at least the longer version)

Is there anything else out there?

Brownells and Black Weapons Armory have the VLTOR MODPOD in stock right now.  Saw it in a couple different shops here in AZ last week also.  Wouldn't say it is hard to get.

Awesome, I guess it has finally become readily available.  So is that really my only option?

The only place that I found the CAA ones in-stock was on amazon.com and they only had the 6-8" model.  For an extra $10 I would definately get the VLTOR one from BWA.

As far as other side-mount bipod options I couldn't find any.  Have you ruled out a standard mount bipod?

I can find the CAA 6-8" version in a lot of places, but it is too short.  I really do like the side-mount design, and was hoping to find more options out there.  I wonder why there are not more of them around?

I got an email from a company I had ordered the CAA from...they have discontinued the 8-12" BSR.  Is my only option the Vltor/TangoDown now?
