[ARCHIVED THREAD] - Side Sling Adapter

I recently sent my M16 off for refinishing, and upon its return I noticed that the side sling swivel is missing. Are these the same dimension as the regular sling swivels that are mounted in the factory location under the barrel? If so, I'll just remove my factory one and place it where the side swivel used to mount and re-rivet it. Thanks.

The swivel itself looks the same on my side swivel adapters but there's other hardware to attach the swivel to the barrel. If you've got the other hardware and a rivet/pin for the swivel then it should be no problem to move it.

Yeah, I have all the other hardware still on the rifle. All that is missing is the swivel itself. I guess that when it was reassembled, it was forgotten. So, basically, all I need to do is remove my factory swivel and purchase a new rivet. Not too big a deal. Thanks.

Got a new rivet incoming from Brownells. Any idea what the best way to install the rivet is? Thanks.
