Finished my recent build and I have to bottom out the front sight post in the FSB.  I'm using a 20" Olympic barrel and the FSB was preinstalled.  Upper receiver is a Rainier forged flat top.  Rear sight is a DD A1.5 fixed sight.  I assume this is due to this sight block being designed to work with a carry handle?  Is there a simple fix, such as a shorter front sight post?

Is the front sight base F-marked? (Shouldn't be)
Where along the upper is your rear sight mounted?
Is it possible a tall (0.31") sight post was installed vs the standard 0.27" post?

No "F" that I can see.  Rear sight is mounted at the rearmost position of the upper rail.  I doubt they would include a tall sight post from the factory.  The post is a 5 position, which is A1, right?  Is there a difference between A1 and A2 sight posts?

File it down and spray it matte black.

That's definitely my plan B.  Just want to make sure the configuration I have is causing a known issue.
