Okay, I may take a lot of crap for this but I have a question on shooting with my sights. I've never had guns before with a peep sight like my new a2 has. When I look through and center the front post in the peep, should I be setting the target on top of the front post (in the sight picture) or should I cover up the target with that front post? I know with my other open sight rifles I line up the sights and set the target on top of the line the sights create. I haven't shot my a2 at paper yet and was just wondering before I went and blew through the rest of my ammo trying to sight my gun in the wrong way! Thanks ahead of time.

I think it's a personal preference thing. I use the six o'clock method you mentioned with iron sights.

Either way is OK.

You need to find a hold that you can repeat from shot-to-shot.

For shooting at black bullseye targets of known and consistent size, most folks will find the six o'clock hold to work best.

A center-mass hold becomes increasingly difficult as the light level drops.

Okay thanks a lot guys. I think I'll stick with centering the front post and setting the target on top of it. Seems easier to me and something I can repeat easily.
