What is the rear takedown spring do? while fixing my 6 position stock today mine was left out. It doesn't appear to be needed and seemed to function fine without it. Someone enlighten me.
Thanx

Your take down pin won't stay in long.

I have a RRA lower and I have to beat my takedown pin out. Is that what it's for? To help hold in the takedown pin? Oh I see the spring holds in the detent whick keeps the pin from falling all the way out. I don't think that'll be a problem on this one.....freekin tight.

If it wasn't needed, they wouldn't of put it in the rifle to start with. Sprins are cheap, just go and get another one at the next gunshow.
