| Has anyone noticed on thier silver bear ammo it has a grainy coat on it? The cases of mine has a coating looks like some soft of oxidation. |

The ammo is zinc coated, not nickel plated. What you see is normal. I just put 560 rounds through 3 AR's with no problems at all. 16" non chrome upper - 400 rounds 20" chrome upper - 100 rounds 20" non chrome upper - 60 rounds We heated them up pretty good too! The 16" non chrome was SMOKING hot after 120 rounds bump fired as fast as I could change the mags. I then slapped the 5th mag in the well and hit the bolt release and left the round in the chamber and the rifle pointed down range for 30 minutes. The 5th mag full of Silver Bear ran without a hitch. No failures of any kind on any of the rifles. I didn't shoot any groups on paper, but I had no trouble hitting a 12" gong at 300 m. |
