Tape the brake off for vise work..

use #29 drill bit (comes with 8-32 tap set at Lowes $7)

tap the hole with 8-32 tap

Crown 8-32 x 3/16" setscrews $0.70/2pk at lowes or HD I forget... perfect fit.. IMHO..

I also used RED loctite on the threads of the screw..

Tada..

FWIW.. you can add a weld on top if your doing a sub-16" barrel build... also check local laws as you may need a 'weld'.. MIG works easily for this..

I hope this helps some DIY on here.  **this is not legal advise**

Good idea. Remember not to tighten too much, you can actually distort the barrel, at threads (basically pushing a bulge into the bore), to cause accuracy issues.

Note: For perm requirements, you MUST weld over the set-screw.

thanks..

I figured for the simple DIY this may be an easier alternative..

if your going under 16" OAL.. you must weld the PIN/SCREW.. again a mig welder is your friend.. (alot of body shops use MIG welders)
