I am looking to put single point slings on a few of my rifles.  I have looked at a lot of them and they all seem to be pretty equal.  I like the Blackhawk Storm XT but it has the one feature, as do all the other ones I have seen, that I do not like.  First I will start with the features that I do like.  I want one that is comfortable to wear with having a wider strap.  I like the quick disconnects to easily remove the sling. I also like the feature of the shock absorbing webbing.  Here is the one thing that they all have that I dont like, I am yet to find one with the listed features above that has a quick disconnect at the mount point.  I don't want the 3-4 inch strap hanging there when I QD the sling from the rifle.  Any suggestions?  I am also willing to build it if anyone has instructions on how to make one that can fit those features.

what kind of endplate are you going to use?

Magpul ASAP + Magpul sling would fit your needs but lacks the shock absorbing webbing.
using a AIMSurplus Sling would solve the problem.

I see the BH Storm XT use a mesh hook and a QD buckle, if you QD the sling using the mesh hook you wont have webbing hanging on the rifle.

I ended up trying out the Magpul Asap and Magpul MS3 sling.  Doesn't have the shock absorbing webbing but found it to be more comfortable and easier to connect/disconnect.  Thanks for the response.
