Yeah, I know...'another' sling question...I'm looking for a single point sling. Wonder what are your favs, and why, thoughts, suggestions. I'm leaning toward using a MOUT type, and having 'extra' buckles on several weapons

Also, I don't know how many folks here are familiar with the longest running SciFi US TV show, Stargate, SG1, but they use a 'harness' type deal, with a buckle that attaches to their FN, P90's, that looks interesting, it's NOT a single point, exactly, but seems to work well for them (in TV Land, anyway hinking.gif) They wear Tactical Vests, so maybe that's why. I don't know who makes them, or much about them either

Take a look at the single point sling thread that have been covered in the past month, there are a bunch.  After running different single point slings, I had about given up on them until I ran into www.jtrusty.com, his setup is slightly different, but highly effective.

I'm not sure what you are using it for, but I've switched both my duty and training carbines over to the ASP sling, it works that well.  They also see time on my FAL, 11-87P, AR15 rifles, AKs, and I think one or two others I may be forgetting.

Here they are on a few different weapons.....

Duty carbine

TNX much. I've been leaning to Spector's system, but this one looks just about the same, at least in the pics. I really like the 'modular' concept behind the whole thing. Using it on various AR's, AK's, FAL's, etc.

TNX again for the pics.

Just ordered some slings from Jason....have a question though. He is out of stock on the Daniel Defense loop. I noticed on the DD site that they have a "A-1", "A-2" and "Carbine" loops.  I have a Beowulf and a CMMG SBR both are on Bushmaster lowers with 6 position telestocks....which loop or loops should I be looking for? Forgive my ignorance. Anyone?

I am out of stock because Daniel Defense is out of stock. They have a batch due back from anodizing early next week. I will be restocked at that time. With regard to which mount you need, you need will the CAR Burnsed Loop if you are planning to replace your receiver end cap. Otherwise, you can use a bolt on solution such as the CAR-EZ Mount.

Like Jason said, the carbine stocks get the carbine mounts.  The A1/A2 are for the solid stock rifles.

I use  the Spector single point sling with the GG&G mount.  Works for me. I saw it first on the POTUS's CAT team when he was in Phoenix in Aug., '04. Those guys have all the HIGH SPEED stuff!

I am in the market for a single point sling. Just a standard carbine mount for the ACE Socom stock?
