Do I mount it on the RHS or LHS for a right handed shooter? Makes a difference since I need to buy the correct end plate.

You need to mount the loop on the left side if the barrel is facing away from you. Most parts are labeled RH for right hand shooters, meaning the loop will be on the left side of the gun (opposite side of you ejection port).

Generally, if you're a rightie, sling gets mounted on the left side of the receiver endplate.  You'll want to wear the sling with it over your right shoulder and under your left arm.

Idea being that it will hang on your weak side, allowing you easy access to your handgun.

Can someone help me on how to install the single point sling adapter?  It's the kind that replaces the buttstock tub lock.  Do I need a special wrench to remove the receiver extension nut?  Any help is appreciated!

Depends solely on your weapon platform. Tell me a bit more about your setup and what
you want to accomplish and with what sling and I would be more than happy to recommend
a mount.

I have a RRA 16" carbine.
Here's the link to my post showing it off
RRA

I'd like a single point sling.  I've noticed the adaptors/mounts come in 2 types.  One type has a section where you would slide the nylon webbing through it and the other type is more for a clip/carabeener.  I'd prefer the later.  Please let me know if you need additional info and I appreciate the help.

First, nice weapon!

I'd like a single point sling.

For a single point sling, I would recommend our ASP sling in whatever color suits your fancy. ( unless you plan to mount it to a rig, in which case our ASP-V is what you are after ).

I've noticed the adaptors/mounts come in 2 types.

Actually, mounts come in three flavors depending on your preference.

1. Slot - for our auxiliary adapter
2. Loop - for our HK adapter
3. Socket - for our QD push button adapter

Selection of a mount boils down to preference at this point.

If you would like to be able to completely remove the sling from the weapon leaving no adapters semi-permanently attached, you are looking for either item 2 or 3 above.

Furthermore, you need to consider installation. Some mounts require removal and re-installation of your receiver extension ( buffer tube ) which in turn requires a spanner wrench.

Others, like the HK Agency Adapter ( item 2 above ) and be installed by simply removing the stock body from the receiver extension only.

Based on your own personal preferences I would recommend the following setup:

1. ASP Sling
2. HK Adapter
3. HK Agency Mount

If you have any further questions, please don't hesitate to let me know.

Wow, thanks for the reply.  That's very help info and I'll be looking to pick those up.  It's really true what they say, once you get BRD you tend to start spending lots of money.  Money well spent I say.

Hey got the same rifle, but I have the carry handle. Let me give you a piece of advice with getting the caslte nut off. Diff. buy the wrench with out that you will never get it off I just put a single point on mine. Second heat up the nut with a torch it won't marr the finish, RRA puts lock tight on it. When you have heated it up enough to were you can smell it burning off then you will be good to go. Now have 2 buddies help you for the final part have them hold the stock and the barrel down and crank on that nut it is on there very tight but you'll get it hope I help.
