Is Daniel Defens' EZ CAR mount anygood?  Just like the idea of a mount that doesnt require a lot of work to install.  Thanks for the help.

I'm willing to bet that since it's a DD product, it works well, but I haven't used it.

However, have you ever removed a stock?  It's very easy, takes maybe five minutes to install something like a regular single-point mount.

Roomate #1 has one, loves it.

Also several guys in the battalion scout platoon used 'em while we were gone this last time, again, no issues.

Ive got the mount with the removable sling swivel. The swivel is removable but it sometimes gets in the way of your shooting hand when you dont have a sling attached to it.

If I was in a situation where I could not replace the lock plate (armory weapon) with a DD Burnsed loop, then the EZ-CAR adapter would be my next choice. However I like simple. If it's a personal weapon, get a wrench and install a Burnsed Loop.

+1 on lock plate mounts but i prefer the YHM (or is it troy) loop with hk style clip.

GG&G sling adapter, with wilderness one point sling, easy to use, silent and quick detach, strong or weak hand, and easy transition.

When I teach classes I bring one of my AR15s that has the EZ CAR mount so right and left handed shooters can use the weapon.  I've never had any complaints in my own use, or in that of any member of the classes, nor in any of the MIL guys who I've loaned it out to.
