Thanks for posting the instructions. I picked up one of these near Ft Bragg in 1990 and have been trying to get info on it ever since. Mine is red dot, clear dome, mildly rough finish-probably originally smooth. It looks like the previous owner sprayed a black "texture" paint on it or just did a bad job painting it by leaving an "orange peel" look to it. The markings are still partly legible under the paint.
Did all of these have the tritium powered low-light aiming post in them? Most of the ads for these I remember seeing mention them but I noticed the instructions above don't mention it and mine has no trace of a post in it. I had just figured the tritium was dead but now wonder if it ever had it. |

This is the original crinkle-coat applied at the same factory that applies the crinkle-coat for Sterling SMGs. |
