Who sells em or are there any round ones out there?

I've seen ovals but no round.

Because of the gas tube, you can have them truly round, or you can have it skinny. The closest you can find to skinny and round would be what looks like an upside down keyhole

B5 is the skinniest plastic handguard I've seen but not quite round.

Never seen a midlength handguard the size of the slim carbine one. Armalite are the smallest of the traditional design handguards.

PSA and Spikes use tapered semi-slim HGs, though not quite as slim as the skinny carbines that can be found.

The Noveske NSR is, I think, about as skinny as you're going to get and still accommodate the tube and block. Like bbies1973 said, there's only so small you can get.

Slr rails are very narrow with an I.D. of about 1.3".  Also look at YHM rails.

Would be helpful if OP would clarify whether he's looking for a traditional type handguard or a free float "rail" type handguard.

I really like these..  It's a free float, but if you look around, you can find the drop in version from other sources if that's what you need.

I have it on two AR and I love it.  The only other handguard I'd even consider is the diamondhead VRS-T.

Here's the drop in version on my 7.62x39 dissy:
