Any pics? I wanna see how they look on a completed rifle I'm running one on this 3 Gun build that I just finished and posted. http://i1124.photobucket.com/albums/l565/urbankz/Mobile%20Uploads/20140812_154802_zps3htw1h03.jpg I've got an identical one from Anderson, got it on sale at Aim. Best deal in forged for that style I think. |
| I agree with Mr. Stoner. Would never use a FA. If it doesn't go "bang" I'm going to shut down and find out why. None of my semi-auto hand guns have dust covers and they are all carry guns. Just never needed the covers. My AR is a range gun and doesn't need it. IMO they are just something to add weight and maintain. |

The new Ares SCR comes with a true minimalist upper that has no FA, brass deflector or dust cover. In its case, however, the bolt carrier (the only proprietary part in the upper; front half is AR, back half is from a semiauto shotgun) doesn't even work with a FA.

| I bought a few sets from aero recently and chose the uppers without forward assist.Never have I ever felt the need to use it to force a bolt closed on a round.I wanted to try a few sets without it and I'm quite impressed with the fit and finish for a 140$ receiver set. |

For you guys with a true slick side which direction does the brass eject to? Most all of my AR's are without the Bruton bump. They eject cases to different positions, just like "bumped" uppers do, but for the most part they eject to about the 4 o'clock position. |
