They work exactly as shown in the videos. They have been on the market since December 2010.
Slide Fire has sold over 50,000 units and nothing has come back from ATF to make me believe that they will reverse their original determination that these are legal. They are also available for the AK47. |

I for one have never been fond of these kinds of gadgets and feel $375 is a rip for a $15 piece of injected molded plastic, but a friend got one a few months ago and we tried it this weekend and it worked really well...30 round mag dumps not an issue....I would not buy one, but it was fun.

Works fine http://i191.photobucket.com/albums/z181/PanzerSlayer2/Weapons/ARFCOM%20MI%20May%2021%202011%20Videos/th_2c1a52a4.jpg That was so smooth it was almost boring...There aren't many people that can do it that smooth and easy with a rubber band or traditional bump fire...maybe a few but not enough to matter. Slidefire for the win |

Overpriced and ugly plastic crap. You can get the same results with a rubber band. And if the ATF outlaws it, you will have to give it up or risk jailtime/fines if caught with it. Sorry but if you own it before the atf bans it you are granfathered. At least from what I know. Just like preban m16s. |

If they deem it illegal, you are required to give it up or go to jail if you get caught with it. They can basically make laws on a whim. |

You are probably going to need to read about the Akins Accelerator to see how the ATF can very easily change its mind and snatch up all copies of something that they approved..From what I understand the Slidefire people did a better job of presenting to the ATF exactly what they intended to market but I still made sure I bought mine cash. |

I had to kick the slide fire guy off ages ago

ATF has made people turn in stuff that they decided was illegal long after it was sold. |

Do I have to provide proof to the agents standing on my front door in 2018 that I had sold that stock years before? What if I really did lose it in a boating accident? Think they will believe that? If I need to turn it in fine but I'd rather have as much choice to the when/how as possible. The fewer government agents in your living room asking accusatory questions the better as far as I'm concerned |
