The hood that houses the rear aperture is loose, a lot looser than my "cheapo" carry handles. I don't think it will affect windage because it does not move the aperture very much (it pivots and does not move it left to right). I am concerned because I paid $120 for this and I expect a lot more from them.

Does anyone have this problem on theirs and is there a way to correct it w/o having to send it back?

Both of my LMT sights pivot somewhat in the sight housing.  This is normal.  If your ability to get and maintian a zero is not affected, it is no problem.

plenty of fixes but why would you want to fix a new warranteed part? you paid your money you have a right to part worthy of that money.

I was going to try it again to see if it did hold zero  but the " I paid good money for this and it should work correctly" thing is getting the best of me. So off to LMT it goes. Damn, I finally have my AR the way I want it and I have to go thru this crap. Why can't anyone build things the way they are supposed to. From what I've  heard, some people had problems with their LMT uppers as well. Hope I don't have to wait too long for this to come back.

Thanks to all who helped out.

Mine is nice and tight, with hardly any pivoting movement at all, but I have seen several reports of "play" by newer owners.
