I got a two-point sling. I'm installing it on my AR with 6-position collapsible stock. The manufacturer's instructions say to thread the rear portion through the stock from the right side. I noticed on the Blue Gear website that they show installing the Vickers sling from the left side.

What's the conventional wisdom out there - both attachments from the left...or front on the left, rear from the right?

Thanks.

If you are right handed, have them both off the left side (if I follow your question correctly).

You followed the question perfectly!

The instructions I got specifically said to install the buttstock end from the right side because it holds the rifle tighter to your body. That's what I did, and they are correct -- it keeps the butt right against my chest.

Anyone else tried it that way? Opinions?

Thanks.
