| I've read the directions with GG&G receiver end plate sling attachment and see no problems for me to do this. However, I noticed that one of the websites claims that the stock needs to be retightened with a torgue wrench to factory specs. Anyone have any idea what those specs are? Does wrenching the stock and plate down tight without knowing torque cause damage? Also, the only tool I've seen for removing collapsable stocks is BM's tele-stock wrench = imprecise tool/not a torque wrench. Any suggestions? |

I have swapped more than a few reciever end plates and can say with some certainty that a torque wrench is not a necessity. Just crank it down using a stock wrench and it if shoots loose, add a few drops of 'blue' lock-tite and crank it down again. I have never had one shoot loose after a few drops of lock-tite. Just make sure to use 'blue' and not 'red' otherwise you will be hard pressed to ever break it loose again if necessary. |
