I'm checking out slings right now for AR15.
For that I have some questions... What is the general/most popular sling design, the one with sewn in or remloveable Mash/Hk/qd swivel? I read that people take their sling to upholstery shop to get hooks and swivels sewn in. Any particular good reason to permanently fix them? Also BFG make some slings of nomex material, beside from the heat resistance how durable are sling made from nomex? The aviator gloves made from nomex seems so fragile. And last, 1.25" width or 1.5" width? Over and out. |
I don't keep up on what's popular and/or trendy in the AR world. I'll leave that to the fanbois.
I use a surplus two point IDF sling and attach it to my carbine with paracord. I think it's two inches wide. Comfortable and rock solid. I attach it to the front sight post and the buttstock. |
