Never used any lube but BF CLP since the mid to late 80`s
A reason I never order the Slip 2000ewl. I thought it couldn't be used to Clean a AR15 and one had to buy another Slip product like carbon cleaner etc. I went to the Slip 2000 website. It stated it can CLP! So does Slip 2000 ewl clean the same as BF CLP?? |
| It actualy cleans better and lasts longer. EWL just does not let the carbon fouling stick to the BCG. I have seen guns shot 2000 rds and the carbon all but wipes off with a drop of the ewl on a rag. Do a search on google for slip 2000 ewl forums and see all that comes up. Pretty good reading. |

I like to carry My M4 in the Field
My Bug out has small bottle of BFCLP! ( also have room in my grip for Otis/ along small bottle ) I keep it small / KISS dont want to carry extras Thats why I like the BFclp because it can do it all.. Now since I got that out of the way For Home You are Right Nothing wrong with several cleaners I use NON Chlorinated Brake cleaner BF CLP Bore Foam etc |

If you shoot up to 200-300 rounds, I have no trouble cleaning my guns with Slip 2000 EWL. However, if you have a DI gun and it is filthy, then you need a good carbon cleaner to let soak on the bolt to get the crud off.
Most of my guns are piston guns and EWL does a good job and getting the gunk off the piston heads. I haven't needed to buy anything else. I used to use BF CLP all the time, and it would evaporate and leave no lube on the bolt. The EWL lasts a long time and has made my action a lot smoother and keeps the lube there during longer range trips. |

So does Slip 2000 ewl clean the same as BF CLP?? Not in my experiance. EWL doesnt even clean as well as Slip2000 IME As a cleaner BreakfreeCLP is better than Slip2000 which is better than SlipEWL. Thanks for the info I was wanting to find a non toxic CLP type lube Last year my Doc said Im at Stage 2 So I thought hey I can do without gloves |

EWL is 100% non-toxic.
I use their 725 cleaner and then relube with EWL or regular Slip 2000. Best lubes on the planet.....they just stay put and will not burn off like Breakfree does. I fired 3,000 rounds at a prairie dog shoot a couple years ago without cleaning. Started off with a clean freshly lubed with EWL AR and it was still wet when I was done....dirty as hell but still wet and I had no malfunctions. The gun was a Sabre. |

Bought a SIG P229 40 when they came out Ive bought most of the TOP Brands except HK My Sig P229 40sw can shoot ever bit as tight as my expensive Colt Combat Elite With tuned handloads it acts like a Match grade barrel You Fired 3000rds in one day!! Wow just wow Before moving to SWFL in 2003 I lived in the Sticks in IND.. I had my own Tactical range setup at the side of my House. I would practice mostly handgun, since I carry 24/7 and held a CCW since the 80`s . Even then I never shot 3000rds in a day. After 500rds Im bored & Tierd Thats with handgun or AR15 If SLIP 2000ewl can keep a AR15 wet after 3000rds That great. Hat off to ya. |

QUESTION again Is the Slip 2000 ewl NON TOXIC? I read the web site and it didnt say? or I didnt find it
The carbon cutter said it was non toxic Low toxic. Not non-toxic. I would not suggest using it as eye drops, nasal spray or drinking it. LOL
Toxic = Toxic to me no matter if its low toxic Does it say it on the bottle Im at stage 2 the last time I seen the Dr. wich was over a year ago. Sounds llike Gloves during cleaning no matter if I use CLP or Slip ewl |

On a related note Fed Ex just dropped off 4ounces of Slip 725 Cleaner degreaser and 1oz of EWL at my place today. It will be my first time trying the 725 Cleaner/Degreaser. I've been running the EWL in one carbine since December..it could use a good cleaning at this point.
