Willl Slip 2000 EWL protect moving parts from wear at least as well as Tetra Lube? Or Break Free CLP?
Thanks |

Tetra is now used to lube door hinges in my house. It's crap on a gun. Doesn't stay where you want it. The Teflon separates from the carrier in time.
There are many benefits from the SLP2000EWL. I use it on all my guns. Stays where you want it. All you need it a tiny bit. Dirt & lint is not attracted to the stuff !!! Great on CCW pistols. FANTASTIC on AR bolts. Has a VERY high drop point and 4500PSI operating strength, way higher than most gun grease at around 500 to 600 PSI. The EWL is what I use. |

Thanks for the replies.
The reason I ask is I had been using Tetra Lube (Break Free CLP in the bores) for several years. With Tetra the charging handles and BCGs seemed to be moving on ball bearings, and carbon stayed soft and easy to remove. Then I switched to Slip after reading lots of good reviews. I found it makes my guns feel more like they are lubed with water. In other words the parts no longer feel like they move smoothly like they used to. I also have hard carbon baked on the tail of my bolts that I didn't get while using Tetra. I thought I was being pretty generous with the Slip, but maybe I am just not applying enough often enough. |

I had the same experience and went back to Tetra. |

My gun seemed to run dirty on slip 2000, more carbon. My department actually went away from using it in the cleaning shack. |
